Hi. I’m Carolyn Gatlin and I was born and raised in Washington State and love the Pacific Northwest and its beauty. I am a believer that community is vital to our lives and want to do my part to support the people of the PNW.

I received my undergraduate degree in Sociology and Cultural Anthropology from St. Martins University in 2008 and my Master of Social Work from Eastern Washington University in 2012. I currently hold a Washington State Social Worker Associate Independent Clinical License and am working toward full licensure.

I have over a decade of experience working with clients who have history with the child welfare system as a child, parent, or caregiver. I also have experience with navigating life changes including career changes, divorce, moving, or loss.

I offer individual therapy for clients aged 15 and up and I support individuals and families who are facing major life changes, end-of-life planning decisions, geriatric and aging-related concerns, weight loss and health-related challenges, caregiver stress, and child welfare involvement as well as other court involvement.

I believe that you are the expert in your life and offer a person-centered approach. I would like to partner with you to help start the healing process, learn to navigate life’s ups and downs, and to accomplish the goals you have for your life. In my practice I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy coupled with a person-centered approach and mindfulness.

 When I am not working, you will find me reading mystery and thriller books, thrifting, growing in my walk with God, and spending time with friends and family as well as my \three cats and two dogs.

 I am currently accepting new clients, and I look forward to meeting you where you are and walking through the next stage of your life with you.
